Joseph Corona joined CHHS in January of 2015 as a Senior Policy Analyst. He supports emergency management outreach through the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
Originally from New York, Mr. Corona spent two years working for FEMA in the first implementation of the National Disaster Recovery Framework for a catastrophic event following Hurricane Sandy. As an Emergency Management Specialist for FEMA, Mr. Corona led projects that improved situational awareness and connected practitioners with information and resources that promoted recovery efforts.
Mr. Corona holds an Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) designation from the International Association of Emergency Managers, and his prior professional experience includes business continuity planning, exercise development, and project management. He received his Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Emergency and Disaster Management from Metropolitan College of New York and his Bachelor of Arts from New York University.
