Adam Coe, MPS
Policy Analyst
Adam Duane Coe is a graduate of George Washington University, where he earned his Master’s in Homeland Security.
Currently, Adam serves as a Policy Analyst at the CHHS, working full-time with the District of Columbia (DC) Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA).
Prior to GWU, Adam completed his undergrad at American Military University with a B.A. in International Relations; with a Concentration in Globalization and Human Security.
Adam’s professional experience began in the United States Navy. From 2008 to 2014, he served as a Navy Diver. After completing U.S. Navy Dive School at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (NDSTC) in Panama City, Florida, he served at his first duty station in the Kingdom of Bahrain and State of Kuwait, at Naval Special Warfare Unit-3 (NSWU-3).
After completing his two years at NSWU-3, he served in Everett, Washington, for three years at the Naval Station Everett Intermediate Maintenance Facility. While in Everett, he had the opportunity to participate in diving operations on submarines, destroyers, frigates, and aircraft carriers such as the U.S.S. Nimitz (CVN 68) and U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).
Additionally, Adam assisted in foreign relation and development building with Bahraini Defense Forces (BDF) in special operations. He also worked with Yokosuka Japanese military divers in ship inspection, maintenance, and repair operations in a Battle Damage Repair (BDR) team after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident of 2011.
Prior to CHHS, Adam worked for an independent nonprofit organization in Arlington, Virginia, called CRDF Global (Civilian Research and Development Foundation). While at CRDF Global, Adam managed logistical coordination and budget tracking for various grants, contracts, and events focusing on the promotion of international scientific collaboration.
