Preeti Emrick, JD

Biography

Preeti Emrick joined CHHS in May 2008 as a Staff Attorney. She received her JD from the American University Washington College of Law (2006) where she was the co-founder and senior articles editor of the The Modern American Journal and received the Mussey-Gillett Award. Prior to graduating from law school, Ms. Emrick was a research associate (and now Advisory Council member) of the Public International Law and Policy Group, where she drafted policy and legislation for foreign governments, including proposed amendments to the constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After graduating from law school, Ms. Emrick was an associate at a Baltimore law firm, representing indigent clients in medical assistance and social security disability claims. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan (2002) where she earned a BA in Political Science and Asian Studies.
