Aileen Xenakis, JD

Biography

Aileen B. Xenakis joined CHHS in August 2007 as a Law and Policy Analyst. While at CHHS, Ms. Xenakis has served as a regional planner at the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, contributing to the 2009 D.C. Presidential Inauguration Committee, the District Response Plan, and projects for both the policy and planning divisions. In 2007, Ms. Xenakis contributed to the Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan for the Maryland Judiciary. Ms. Xenakis interned with the Maryland General Assembly for Speaker Michael Busch, and completed an Asper Fellowship with Senator Bobby Zirkin and Delegate Dana Stein. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2007, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the law school newspaper. Ms. Xenakis graduated magna cum laude from Mount St. Mary’s College in 2004 with a BA in French and English.
