[Annie] Harkins is developing guidance for local and state emergency managers on how the ADA applies to emergency preparedness, response and recovery initiatives.  This includes accessible emergency shelters and temporary housing, emergency notifications and signage capable of alerting individuals with vision or hearing impairments, accommodations for service animals in emergency shelters and accessible public evacuation transportation.
