CHHS Founder and Director Michael Greenberger was interviewed by WTOP to discuss President Obama’s proposed changes in the National Security Agency’s (NSA) surveillance program.

Greenberger applauded the change from have unfetter access to five years of data to having to request specific information from 18 months of data. Greenberger asserted that the NSA did not have the statutory authority for all of the information currently held and proposed that it is a 4th amendment violation.

Greenberger does worry about the President asking that the current program be legislatively authorized as it could leave the door open for future invasive practices to be allowed.
